What Critics Think

(5/22/2023) Coming all from the Sta. Rita Hills and made by Moret Brealynn and Adam Lee, the 2021 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills reveals a translucent ruby hue as well as a terrific nose of framboise, redcurrants, spring flowers, baking spices, and leafy herbs. This carries to a medium-bodied Pinot Noir that leads with its fruit, has supple, elegant tannins, outstanding balance, and a great finish. This seamless, silky, hedonistic, and balanced Pinot Noir is perfect for drinking over the coming 4-5 years. Maturity: 2023 - 2028.

(5/1/2023) This new partnership between vintners Adam Lee and John Wagner features a throwback telephone label, and delivers satisfyingly juicy Pinot Noir at a great price. Strawberry-sorbet, black-cherry ice cream, chai-spice and red-flower aromas lead from the nose into a smoothly layered palate of boysenberry, mocha and violet flavors.

(2023) Lively, with bramble-laced mulberry and boysenberry notes that sparkle with nice energy, while light anise and apple wood accents line the finish. Shows good tension through the finish as well. Drink now through 2027. 825 cases made.
