(12/2022) Pouring a slightly mature-looking garnet, with ruby red accents, this special direct-from-Rioja cellar release is 14 years old and it is drinking beautifully. It pops from the glass with aromas of leather, tobacco, dried flowers, cardamom, dill, beef jerky, and campfire. With air, delicious dried fruit notes emerge, including blackberry, wild strawberry jam and roasted cherry. The wine gives a medium-full mouthfeel and a sublime texture, offering integrated tannins and bright Tempranillo acidity.
