What Critics Think

(1/2/2026) Sourced mostly from Val de Salnes, the 2024 La Cana is one of the historic brands of the region and is made in a restrained style, fermented mostly in stainless steel, with a small amount of barrel fermentation. It’s a precise, medium-bodied wine of lovely complexity, length, and tropical fruit that should continue to shine another 6-8 years. Maturity: 2026 - 2034.
Decanter : 92 Points
(12/15/2025) Wine importer turned winemaker Jorge Ordóñez’s flagship Rías Baixas white comes from pergola-trained vines in Salnés (85%), Condado (10%) and Ribeira do Ulla (5%), resulting in a consistent, vibrant Albariño with plenty of saline notes and hints of white and stone fruits. The wine gains extra complexity from ageing on the lees in tank and oak barrels.

(5/21/2025) There’s a flinty edge to the poached apricot and white cherry fruit flavors on display in this leesy white. Hints of chamomile, spun honey, Meyer lemon peel and blanched almond add complexity, while a firm spine of crunchy acidity amps up the freshness and fine tension through the clean-cut, salty finish. Drink now through 2030. 23,000 cases made, 20,000 cases imported.
