(8/2025) This grower-Champagne crafted by Damien Goulard hits the spot! Certified-organic vines of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are deployed in equal proportion - from 7.5 hectares of vineyard across two villages (Prouilly and Hermonville). The whole operation involves just four humans and seven sheep. A red-fruit marked nose delivers vivid, focussed cherry notes wrapped up in the wonderful pastry and chalk markers that could ONLY hail from Champagne. Mature yellow apple gives gravity, and the whole packaged is finished with a reasonable dosage to match its verve. Nicely done, and a step-up in viticultural quality, clarity, vivacity and tastiness over the big names — for LESS!
