What Critics Think
Tim Atkin : 94 Points
(2023) Released a year later than the rest of the Rall reds to allow the tannins to integrate, this is a serious, structured assemblage of Syrah with 13% Grenache, 7% Carignan and 2% Cinsault. Sappy and grippy, it marries blackberry and damson fruit flavours with understated oak spices and a sturdy, age-worthy finish. 2025-32.
James Suckling : 93 Points
(11/5/2023) This is so expressive, exuding black and white pepper, dried herbs, black berry fruit and some sweet tobacco. Medium-bodied, peppery and alive on the palate, with very fine and tight tannins and beautiful tension throughout. Syrah, grenache, carignan and cinsault, each separately whole bunch fermented. Drink or hold.
