J. Christopher "Lumiere - Special Selection" Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2019

A special barrel-selection Pinot Noir that captures the firmly structured character of the Eola-Amity Hills appellation. 2019 was a more classic Willamette Valley vintage, with plenty of time for slow, steady ripening, resulting in beautiful, energetic Pinots with silky texture and a balance of fruit and earth. From destemmed Pinot Noir of Pommard and Dijon 667 clonal material grown on volcanic soils, a native yeast yeast fermentation gives way to a long 18 month elevage in 25% new French oak barriques before filling a mere 97 cases without fining or filtration.
