Lovers of mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, this is for you. Using his obsidian-strewn vineyard high in the Mayacamas Mountains, Vin Chicago alum Alex Beloz crafts this beauty from vines at 2,300 to 2,640 feet of elevation. With the 2021 vintage, Alex really nailed it. The structure here is fantastic, and the fruit flavors just grow and grow with exposure to air!

(12/2023) Opaque and classically volcanic, this newly released Cabernet Sauvignon leads off with dense and dark aromas and flavors of blackberry, black cherry and blue plum. A few swirls release secondary waves of oak-driven coffee, vanilla, toast, graphite and cocoa, all bolstered by fresh lift and a rugged tannic chew. There is a natural structure here that only comes from mountain-grown Cabernet. Already drinking incredible, it will be a stunning match with bone-in sirloin or lamb.
