(5/6/2021) Lots of toast, lead pencil, graphite, and darker currants emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bully, which reminds me of a great Pauillac, only on steroids. Based on 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, all from Red Mountain, it’s full-bodied, has building tannins, lots of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years. Maturity: 2021 - 2036.

(10/15/2021) Precise and potently structured, with expressive blackberry, toasty spice and flinty mineral accents that build tension toward broad-shouldered tannins. Best from 2022 through 2030. 1,050 cases made.
