(10/2025) One of the world's best sparkling winemakers of smartly-priced bubblies isn't French! Pere Mata is a Spaniard, based in the Catalan zone of Penedes, and his delicious sparkling Cava wines, made using the same traditional methods of Champagne, are crafted exclusively from his organically-farmed estate vines! This tasty, dry pink Cava blends traditional grapes, including Garnacha, Trepat, Parellada, Monastrell and Xarel-lo, and though officially "Non-Vintage", this batch is entirely from the 2023 harvest. Juicy and fresh, this wine has been loved by our staff for many years, and this latest batch is another winner, with raspberry, strawberry cream, mineral and spice tones- with a crispy, bubbly mouthfeel!
