(5/2026) Duncan Arnot and Nathan Roberts are bottling some of America's best expressions of organic-meets-natural wine, including this blend of 57% Cabernet, 26% Merlot and 17% Cab Franc. With a lo-fi, hands off approach, they give us a Cali wine that is elegant with natural energy, hints of green herbs, black and red berries, earth and a satisfying finish. This juice is super cool and will appeal to drinkers of old school Napa (think Mayacamas), as well as those who dip their toe in the natty wine pool. Yum!

(1/2025) The 2023 California Red Wine is terrific. Dark, bold and savory, it has so much to offer. Black cherry, plum, dried herbs, licorice, menthol, gravel and bay leaf are dialed up. This feels like a very old-school red blend. At $50 a bottle, it is one of the best values in this range, and certainly the under-the-radar gem. I loved it. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2037.
