What Critics Think
Vinous - Joaquin Hidalgo : 92 Points
(8/2020) A Cabernet Sauvignon from Tolombon that spent 10 months in used barrels. Roasted red pepper notes combine with spice and country flowers on a wild, elemental nose. Open in the mouth, it has a relaxed palate and juicy, mild tannins that free up the wine, wisely taking advantage of the sun and concentration. The lengthy finish speaks well of the entire valley. The wonders of Calchaqui in a glass. Drinking Window: 2020 - 2026.
James Suckling : 92 Points
(8/2020) Currant, lemon-zest, peppercorn, cocoa and gravel aromas. It’s medium-bodied with sleek, fine tannins and fresh acidity. Flavorful and focused. Drink or hold.

(3/31/2021) The spicy and peppery 2019 Flor de Cardon Cabernet Sauvignon shows varietal aromas and tannins, integrated oak and a fruit-forward personality. It's juicy and softly textured and has a dry finish and very focused and clean flavors. It matured in used barrels for nine months. 18,000 bottles produced. Drink Date: 2021 - 2024.
