What Critics Think
James Suckling : 93 Points
(5/3/2022) Blackberries and dark plums with some walnuts and flowers. Full-bodied with round tannins and a juicy finish. Creamy and round. Really delicious and soft, yet fresh and tensioned. Drink now.
Vinous - Joaquin Hidalgo : 92 Points
(1/2023) The 2020 Malbec Guarda was made from grapes from Lujan de Cuyo and aged for 12 months in new and used French barrels. Purple in the glass. The expressive, tea-like nose presents floral notes, white pepper and plum, with tomato leaf appearing subsequently. On the palate, the tannins are refined, polished and velvety. The back of the mouth delivers a precise, fruity flavor. The warm year has enhanced the alcoholic lushness and the dark fruit flavor. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2030.
