A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Grand Cru designated vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, this includes 35% reserve wines from barrel, and this rests for 60 months in bottle on the lees before disgorgement with an 8g/l dosage for finishing. What you get is a mouthful! A creamy, round, pillowy profile includes notes of baked yellow apple and citrus, vanilla custard, red berry, toast and spice before finishing with an authoritative, regal and cleansing close of chalkiness that reinforces you're nowhere but Champagne here. It feels expensive, but it costs little!
