Offering a rich and very flavorful mouthfeel, their 2023 Troesmes showcases crunchy green apple, pear, and lemon blossom along with an abundance of saline, wet stone and chalky earth notes. Our sample bottle drank beautifully for a full three days after opening. Vinified naturally and raised for 18 months in a combination of tank and prior-use barrels, this rare bottling comes from a south/southeast facing parcel within the larger Beauroy 1er Cru vineyard. Planted with vines 40 to 60+ years of age, the dry Kimmeridgian marl and chalky limestone soils concentrate the grapes, while cool nights preserve fresh acidity. This is what great Chablis is all about!
