Aquilini "Eroe" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

(10/14/2021) The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon EROE is new to the lineup this year and displays a deep ruby core and electric magenta edge. Aromas of crème de cassis, black cherry and dusty plum sway with fine, brown baking spices marked with elegant vanilla, cardamom and nutmeg nuances. Full-bodied and generously layered, the wine is still tight, with oak tannins that will loosen with time in the bottle, a luxurious mouthfeel and subtle flavors of bitter dark chocolate. The mid-palate is tightly wound and will be incredible with food. Concluding with an ever-evolving finish and firm tannic edge, it’s an absolutely stunning bottle that deserves to be in the cellar next to cult Cabernets. Bravo!
