What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92+ Points
(6/2024) Dark, rich, and opaque, this 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon signals its serious structure and pure plush deliciousness from the very beginning. Generous blackberry, plum, pencil lead, bramble, and mulled spices lead the way and quickly draw you in for another sip. Additional notes of dark red berries meet dark chocolate, sage, and fresh tobacco. There are SO many flavors to unpack here, and grippy tannins round things out perfectly on the weighty finish that hangs on for dear life. This stuff so far exceeds what you usually get for the price that it's not even funny.
What Critics Think
Wine Enthusiast : 94 Points
(9/1/2023) This balanced wine aged for 20 months in French oak, 15% new, 32% single-use and 53% neutral. It's as good a wine as many I've had for twice this price, with aromas of boysenberries, spearmint, wet rocks and fresh laundry hanging on the line. It has a clean, crisp texture, silky tannins and raspberry, black tea and saline flavors. Editors' Choice.
Wine Spectator : 92 Points
(3/31/2024) Sleek and tightly focused, with sinewy blackberry, tarragon and cedar flavors that build tension toward medium-grained tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 915 cases made.
