(7/13/2023) The 2020 Chardonnay Terre de Marne comes from a warmer and riper vintage than the previous 2019, and the wine achieved 13.5% alcohol. It was produced with handpicked grapes from 1.6 hectares of 40- to 45-year-old vines planted on gravelly clay-loam on red marl soils from Trias. The juice from the destemmed grapes obtained from a pneumatic press fermented for 15 days with indigenous yeasts in large seasoned oak barrels and matured in foudres with lees but without batonnage for 12 months. It's varietal, clean, relatively ripe and easy to drink with a faint Jura character. Drink Date: 2023 - 2028.
