(10/2026) We were saddened to learn that a young wunderkind, Anaïs Pertuizet, had recently given-up her pursuits in Beaujolais after about five years of excellent work - though her journey will continue east in the Jura. We jumped on everything our broker had available in France and her 2023's are impressive! This Régnié, from a half-hectare plot of 60 year-old-vines, pops with tart red berries, copious amounts of stony minerals, leafy greens and the light front-end tannin we crave in Cru Beaujolais. BUT with air it expands, gaining notes of plum, black earth, iodine, blackberry and even a pinch of chocolate. Lovely, complete Cru Bojo for a foolishly-affordable price!
