(2/2026) From the granite soils just above the Saint-Joseph appellation in the Northern Rhône, here is a tasty and refreshing Viognier from Jean-Francois Jacouton. This wine is super expressive on the nose and palate with notes of lemon curd, lime, apricot, melon and mango, plus white pepper and floral expressions of elderflower and jasmine. While not as full and rich (or expensive) as Condrieu, this beauty is really enjoyable to drink and would make for a great partner to mild Indian or Thai curry dishes, roasted chicken, and pork tenderloin.
