(12/2024) In a sea of mediocre Crémants, Édouard Lepesme has crafted a seriously compelling sparkling wine. This is a blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir that sees 24 months of aging on the lees, and 80% of the wine comes from the 2020 vintage, with the remaining 20% made up of reserve wine. There is zero dosage, but it doesn't come across as harsh or unbalanced. Classic notes of bruised apple, toasted nuts, and a hint of pine and citrus zest enliven this delicious wine.
