(1/2024) From vines 15 to 25 years of age - relatively young for this old vine region - the Juan Gil team crafts this tasty red from 40% Garnacha, 30% Carinena, 20% Syrah and 10% Merlot. Offering concentrated, smoke-accented aromas and flavors of black cherry, wild strawberry, licorice and red flowers, all underscored by a nice peppery quality, this juicy, plump, and weighty wine finishes long and soft with dark chocolate flavors and yummy minerality. It gives a glimpse into the character and uniqueness of the rugged Priorat region and does so for an unheard-of price.
