What We Think
Vin Chicago: 89 Points
(3/2024) The second label for Elk Cove is a solid Oregon Pinot Noir value. Flavors of cherry cola, black raspberry, dusty, crushed red flowers, coffee bean, vanilla and light crumbly earth lead a soft, bright, authentic palate. Lifted, this juicy, tart berried Pinot tastes like a little $20 Burgundy.
What Critics Think
Wine Enthusiast : 91 Points
(4/1/2024) This 100% stainless steel-fermented Pinot Noir is as fresh and crisp as snow melt flooding a mountain stream. Prickly boysenberry and smoked salmon aromas blend into flavors like raspberry lemonade laced with black tea. Citrusy acidity meets silky tannins on Pike Road.
Wine & Spirits : 91 Points
(12/2023) This is a bit blowsy at first with a weighty red-cherry scent adorned by black pepper. After a day the wine’s flavors, and especially its texture, become tart, delineated and pure; well-priced for smoked salmon.
