(12/2023) Olivier Giroux farms just over 8 hectares in the Maconnais zone of Burgundy. He focuses on Chardonnay bottlings labeled as Pouilly-Loche, a neighboring appellation to the more famous and much larger Pouilly-Fuisse. However, from a quality and style perspective, they are separated only by geography. This bottling comes from a small parcel of 70-year-old vines growing in limestone and raised with no new oak. Pure, with the mouthfeel and range of citrus/orchard fruit to make you think of Puligny, this wine is delicious and ageable! White Burgundy fans, don't miss this serious bottling!
