What We Think
Vin Chicago: 91 Points
(7/2024) The little-known appellation of Cote Roannaise, not far from the source of the Loire River, is only 90 minutes from the famed Beaujolais Cru of Morgon. In other words, this region is no stranger to the Gamay grape, and this delicious red from brothers Edgar and Marc Antoine Pluchot is capable of serious Cru Bojo comparisons! Hand-harvested, organically farmed grapes and fermented naturally. Juicy red berry fruits, dark red florals, granite, and black rock minerality, with an easy palate, classic grippy attack, and fresh, chillable bright finish. Delicious, impressive, and a fantastic value.
