(7/2023) We love Verdicchio! This unheralded white grape, grown most famously in the northern region of Marche, somehow continues to fly under the radar. Lucky for us because it keeps this incredible varietal one of the best values in the wine world. This salty, nervy, mineral-tinged white is zippy, with citrus and orchard fruit tastiness and a satisfying leesy, medium-bodied yumminess. Perfect by itself or with pesto pasta, steamed clams with lemon, garlic and white wine, or chicken nuggets!

(5/2024) “The 2022 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Birbaccio is zesty and wickedly fresh with lime zest and savory herbs giving way to crushed stone. It washes easily across the palate, distinctly savory and mineral, with gobs of tart citrus fruits and a salty flourish toward the close. This reverberates with tension through the long and cheek-puckering finale, leaving a lingering lemon-pith concentration. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2028.”
