(9/2023) A fantastic old vine blend of Garnacha and two more obscure grapes, Rufete and Pinuela, from mountainous vineyards just west of Madrid, the Vino de Montana (aka Mountain Wine) is crafted by a pair of Master of Wine winemakers and offers up a mouth-filling expression of fleshy dark red fruits, peppery earth and a bright, soft, refreshing structure. Drink it like you would a Rioja or Cotes du Rhone. Such a fun new red!
