(6/2024) From the family that founded Sassicaia, Marchesi Giovanni Incisa della Rochetta crafts this easy-drinking, plush, and nicely spiced Super-Tuscan-style blend in Umbria. Coalescing Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in volcanic soils on hillside vineyards at Lake Corbara yields an unoaked red that evinces more than a little bit of Rhone profile in the glass. Spicy and full of violet, mixed berries, plums, and Mediterranean herbs, this clean, plump Rosso should put a smile on every face, whether with spicy pasta, pizza, or just another glass!
