(8/7/2025) The 2023 California Zinfandel is composed of the best barrels of the vintage. It has slowly unfurling aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, blueberries, allspice and floral perfume. The full-bodied palate pairs concentrated fruit with well-integrated oak spice from its maturation in 40% new oak. It’s framed by plush, approachable tannins and bright acidity and has a long, perfumed finish. Drink Date: 2028 - 2045.

(1/2025) The 2023 Zinfandel Buffalo Ode to Joel is a powerful, tightly wound wine. That should not be an issue in another few years' time. This blend of top barrels from several top sites in the portfolio is compelling. Perfumed aromatics, bright fruit and mid-weight structure are the signatures. All this needs is cellaring. In 2023, vineyard sites are Old Hill, Belloni, Beeeson, Monte Rosso and Sky. Drinking Window: 2028 - 2038.
