(9/2023) This wine rips! Combining Chenin Blanc from two of Pieter's favorite sites in the Wellington subregion along with dashes of Grenache Blanc and Viognier for texture and weight, the 2022 Moment of Silence is wildly delicious. Waves of white peach, nectarine, zesty lemon and mango are accompanied by a palate cleansing minerality. Can anyone say Porch Pounder??? This tantalizing white from Blankbottle always has Loire Valley vibes - and something more - a vibrance that is unequivocally new world. This impressive white is a testament to just how wonderful of a home the Western Cape is for Chenin.

(9/2023) A wine that has established itself as a permanent fixture in Pieter Walser's ever-changing range, this is a layered, complex, four-vineyard cuvee of Chenin Blanc with 25% Grenache Blanc and 10% Viognier aged in neutral barrels, amphoras and concrete. Pear, lemon and yellow apple flavours are complemented by lovely texture and plenty of freshness for a 2022 white. 2023-27.
