(3/2023) The 2021 Borderlands is dark and brooding, slowly opening with black currant and savory herbs offset by smoke and crushed stone nuances. It's ripe in style yet full of zesty tension, as brisk acidity enhances its tart red and black fruits. The 2021 tapers off lightly structured with a salted licorice flourish that lingers on. Borderlands is a blend of 40% Syrah, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Cabernet Franc. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2028.
