(2/2024) Patrick and Sophie Ligeron bottled a small amount of La Vouivre, an intriguing and yummy blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Savagnin. Sourced from the Jura, a zone due east of Burgundy in the alpine foothills, this dry white pours a bright copper straw in the glass. Hints of Jura voile are revealed in salted macadamia and honey, while baked yellow apple, nectarine, citrus tea, and white flowers round out the briskly mineral finish. Burgundy meets Manzanilla sherry - delicious!
