(5/6/2021) The deep purple-hued 2018 The Evil Twin boasts an exotic, pedal-to-the-metal, full-bodied style that carries lots of darker berry and even wild strawberry-like fruits as well as notes of sandalwood, orange blossom, and flowers. It’s ripe, sexy, and full-bodied, and while I don’t expect it to make old bones, it brings the fruit without being heavy! The blend is 65% Syrah and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in new barrels.

(12/31/2020) An 80-20 blend, the aromas provide appeal, with notes of iron and other minerals along with plum and dark fruit. Dense, layered, rich blue- and black-fruit flavors follow, with plenty of tannins providing the scaffolding. It's a hedonistic delight, made in this producer's trademark power-packed style.
