(8/2025) Artisan Tuscan producer Matthew Fioretti crafts luxurious, modern style Brunelli at his cult Montalcino property Cerbaiona. Under a second label, M.L. Fioretti, he crafts delicious Super Tuscan reds with the same level of precise, Burgundy-like elegance. His 2019 'P.V.D.' is a blend of 58% Petit Verdot and 42% of an obscure red grape: Ancelotta. Drinking like a Right Bank Bordeaux with a Tuscan accent, this delicious red gives incredible fruit purity. The texture of this red is worth the price of admission, and when you add in wild red berry fruits, cassis, wild cherry, currants, red florals, savory notes of soy, balsamico, olives, and a structure of soft tannins, bright freshness, and a hint of amaro, you get something truly unique and delicious.
