What Critics Think
Wine Enthusiast : 94 Points
(3/1/2024) The nose is defined by a delicate sweetness, as undertones of clove and orange peel bring nuance to leading aromas of vanilla and strawberry, followed by a crack of black pepper. On the palate, fruit leads the way, but a hint of that bitter, spicy element perseveres all the way through the warm, acidic finish.

(2/29/2024) Ripe, evoking macerated cherry, plum, leather, almond and loam flavors backed by a dense layer of tannins. Stays within bounds and lingers nicely. Best from 2025 through 2033.
James Suckling : 92 Points
(9/20/2023) Rich, savory red fruit with iron, licorice, dry earth and orange rind. Firm, dusty tannins with dry, spiced berries on a structured, medium- to full-bodied palate. Good length with a mineral quality at the end. Sangiovese. From organically grown grapes. Sustainable. Drink now but can hold for four to five years, too.
