(9/1/2023) This wine is ready to go from the moment it is poured into the glass—from a box! Boxed wine has come a long way in the past few years, and Sandy Giovese proves it's not the container that matters; it's what's inside. Loaded with classic sour cherry and cranberry notes that are hallmarks of Sangiovese leap out of the glass. Following are more subtle floral and herbal notes that give the wine a bit more soulfulness. The palate is a direct translation of the nose and overdelivers with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and simple deliciousness. This is what we should all expect from our boxed wine from now on.
