The impressive Chateau de Chamilly is a literal castle located at the northern end of Burgundy's Chalonnaise district. Family-owned and run by brothers Xavier and Arnaud Desfontaine, this property, recently converted to certified organic, is impressive as of late, especially with their Chardonnays. This fleshy white shows baked citrus, yellow apple, and white peach with almond, honey, and river rock minerals. Drinking like an elevated Macon-Villages, it is a solid beauty, pleasing to seasoned Burgundy lovers and neophytes alike!
