(10/2023) With some vigorous swirling in the glass Gainey Merlot, a throwback Vin fave, comes to life. From their estate, Home Ranch, this French barrel-aged (27% new) Merlot is perked up by 3% Cabernet Franc. It brings a bounty of brambly berry fruit, milk chocolate, mocha, dark cherry, vanilla bean and green herb. It's charming and easy to drink now.
