(7/2025) Seven generations of the Kraft family have grown grapes in Vouvray, but when Laurent Kraft took over from his grandfather in 1992, he had a tiny 3.5 hectares to work with. Since then, Laurent has expanded to 27 hectares and today bottles high quality, fairly priced Chenin Blanc wines, like this Demi-Sec (off-dry) Vouvray - so delicious! At just over 20 grams per liter of residual sugar, this wine doesn't taste sweet, but rather generous and fruity, with a pleasure packed collection of flavors, all sitting atop a deceptively mineral core. Bruised yellow pear and white flower honey flavors are complicated by button mushroom, lemon curd, river stone, white clay, white pepper and mint. Super tasty, and at our low special price, this is a winner.
