What Critics Think
Vinous - Josh Raynolds : 93 Points
(7/2021) Deep ruby. Powerful, spice-accented dark berry and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestions of musky earth, mocha and violet. Densely packed and expansive on the palate, showing bright, spicy lift to the appealingly sweet bitter cherry, blackberry and floral pastille flavors. Becomes more lively with air, and finishes very long and chewy, with dusty tannins building slowly. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2033.
Wine Spectator : 92 Points
(2021) Beautifully tangy raspberry, cedar, strawberry and rose petal notes are delicately laced together in this plush red, with white pepper, sandalwood and spice nuances mingling on the finish. Drink now through 2031. 150 cases made, 25 cases imported. 93/100 - Wine Enthusiast (3/1/2021) From a 10-acre parcel of deep granite subsoil, this partly wood-aged wine offers rich black fruits and ripe tannins. Dark berry flavors are generous, promising much. Drink from 2022.
