What Critics Think
Vinous - Neal Martin : 91 Points
(1/2019) The 2016 Les Gravières has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet with crushed violet petals infusing the blackberry and strawberry aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity and hints of salted licorice infusing the black fruit. Good build in the mouth and gentle grip on the finish. Excellent. Drinking Window: 2021 - 2035.
James Suckling : 91 Points
(1/16/2019) A decidedly riper style with dark-plum compote and notes of rhubarb and licorice. The palate has density of fruit in a dark, essence-like mode with full body and assertive, rich and ripe tannins. Try from 2022.
