Inglenook "Edizione Pennino" Rutherford Napa Valley Zinfandel 2019

Plentiful winter rainfall heralded an early start to the 2019 growing season for our Edizione Pennino Zinfandel blocks. Very gradual final ripening during the extended period between veraison and harvest explains the superb condition and classic Zinfandel flavors of the harvested fruit. The 2019 Edizione Pennino Zinfandel is dark, ruby red, with a purple edge. The nose is very focused as it shows ample, ripe fruit aromas of plum and clove, as well as ultraripe blueberry and blackberry. The wine is plush and generous on the palate, with round, velvety tannins that create a sense of warmth and balance on the finish. 95% Zinfandel, 1% Petite Sirah (Rutherford, Napa), 3% Primitivo (Puglia, Italy).
