Winemaker's Notes

From plots selected for younger-drinking than its famed 'Rubicon', nonetheless this Cab comes from the same certified-organic estate vineyards that build that masterpiece of Napa Valley history - with production dating back to 1882 by Gustave Niebaum. Aged 18 months in just 10% new French oak, a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet France in 1% Petit Verdot delivers notes of black currant, plum, cedar, vanilla, wild blackberry, espresso and tobacco. Ripe and velvety, a classic expression of Rutherford.
