What Critics Think
Vinous - Joaquin Hidalgo : 92 Points
(9/2023) The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Alta Collection comes from San Pablo in the Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in a combination of first and second-use French (95%) and American oak barrels (5%). Reddish-purple in the glass. The nuanced aromatic profile features redcurrant, blackcurrant, elderberry and mountain herb notes. It's dry and juicy on the palate, with finely-grained tannins and well-balanced acidity thanks to precise grape selection. This high-altitude Cabernet Sauvignon is a delightfully distinctive mountain wine enhanced further by the cool year. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2033.
James Suckling : 93 Points
(3/4/2023) A juicy yet ripe cabernet sauvignon with a fine twist of white pepper to the strawberries, cherries and olives. This is more of a medium-bodied cabernet sauvignon with generous berry fruit and soft, silky tannins on the palate. Drink or hold.
