What We Think
Vin Chicago: 93 Points
(9/2024) A five-year-young Oregon Chardonnay from a wonderful small producer, whom we think makes some of the best white wines in the Willamette Valley. In blind tasting, this pale, lemon yellow white exhibited the taut medium-body (12.5% ABV), crushed hazelnut, white florals and lemon-yellow pear and oyster shell minerality made many call it Burgundy. In retrospect, with aeration, there's a twist of guava, chamomile and toast which might paint new world markers in the subtlest, pastel watercolor. A delicious, high-level, volcanic-soiled Chardonnay from three vineyard sites, only 515 cases crafted.
