(4/2026) Demeter certified Biodynamic vigneron Vincent Gaudry farms 11 hectares of vines in his small Sancerre village of Sury-en-Vaux. Everything is done here naturally, both in the vineyards and the cellar - no chemicals, only wild yeasts, and hands-off winemaking, resulting in pure, alive wines that drink deliciously for days after popping the cork. This very small production bottling hails from Sauvignon Blanc vines up to 90 years in age, grown in shallow Kimmeridgian clay soils (terres blanches) covering limestone bedrock. Textured and lithe, with citrus blossoms, white and yellow citrus, nectarine, pepper, green herbs, sea spray, all atop a beautiful minearl core, this wine is vibrant and dense, and is exactly what one would hope for in a premium bottle of Sancerre.
