Vin Chicago: 91 Points

(6/2026) Another winning bottling from winemaker Kirk Venge. A blend of fruit sourced from both Napa and Sonoma vineyards this is plush, full-bodied and delicious. Aged in French oak (33% new) for 18 months, there is great texture and balance with classic Cab blackcurrant and black cherry flavors. There is also a slight earthiness and savoury spice quality that complements the fruit, along with some lighter tannins giving structure and a nice back bone to the wine. For under $20 this is very impressive.
