(5/13/2025) Fast becoming a house favourite, the Bednarik, from 1988, is own-rooted Pommard and Wadenswil, 2/3 to 1/3, planted on marine sedimentary soils. In 2023, this was picked a month later than any other Martin Woods Pinots. On the palate, this is concentrated fleshy red fruits, cinnamon, clove, and allspice aromatics push, says Evan Martin. A long, resonating tannin structure and a smoky clove note interplay wonderfully with the ripe, fleshy fruits. Round and rich, beautifully juicy with pomegranate and red strawberries. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2039.

(8/26/2025) The 2023 Pinot Noir Bednarick Vineyard shows off aromas of framboise, wet stone, and candied flowers. Elegant and medium-bodied, it has a sweet red-fruited core and approachable texture. A very pretty and approachable wine now, it should also have a lot to offer for another 10-15 years. Maturity: 2025 - 2040.
