(1/2025) While most people only associate New Zealand with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, the team at Responsible Hedonist has crafted a compelling Syrah! That team also has Chicago roots: Diana Hawkins and Frank Lepera have over 15 years in the wine business here, including working as sommeliers at James Beard award-winning and Michelin-starred restaurants such as Lula Cafe and Alinea. This Syrah is fresher and lighter than most but still has lovely red fruit notes, along with burnt caramel and a hint of black olive. Grab a bottle for burgers, barbeque, or pretty much anything that calls for a lighter, luscious red!
