(9/2025) The 2023 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare tempts the senses with a bouquet of flint stones and white smoke, complicating freshly sliced nectarines and hints of rosemary. It is soothingly round with a balanced inner sweetness offset by saline mineral tones as a gorgeous mix of ripe apple and sour lime plays a game of contrasts on the palate. This finishes with excellent length and clarity, leaving nuances of candied citrus and sweet sage to linger. Suavia captured the saline intensity of the vintage and matched it to a vivid core of ripe fruit. Well done. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2030.

(6/14/2025) A complex wine with a mix of ripe and fresh character. The nose shows apricots, lime peel, melon and smoky minerality. Very citrusy on the palate, medium-bodied and vibrant, with tingling acidity and a tense, savory finish. Long and tight yet precise. Drink or hold.
