(4/2023) The 2022 Kajanero entices with depths of crushed black cherries, plums and candied citrus complicated by stone dust and violet florals. This is soft and textural, balancing ripe wild berry fruits against nuances of blood orange, as a brisk acidity maintains a lovely energy. The 2022 finishes classically dry yet light on its feet, with kirsch and sweet licorice hints that linger on and on. This is a total pleasure to taste. Kajanero is a blend of Pallagrello Nero, Aglianico, Cassavecchia and Pizzutella. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2028.
